Botswana Safari Destinations
True Africa in all her
remoteness and authenticity, Botswana is Southern Africa's largest and authentic
wilderness. With only 1.4 million inhabitants, and a little larger than France, the
country spread over an area of approximately 580000 square kilometers.
This is a land of great contrasts. More than 70% of the country is covered by the vast and
waterless Kalahari Desert, while to the north-west the Okavango River, born in Angola
where it is known as "Kavango", flows East into the arid sands of the
Kalahari Desert, spreading into a myriad of about 15000 square kilometers of crystal
clear water channels, rivers and lagoons, before it disappears beneath the ardent sands of
the desert and creating what is known as the World's last greatest wilderness, the
Okavango Delta.
South Africa Holiday Destinations
South Africa is a country
which caters to the most discerning traveler's comfort needs. The temperature is
moderate throughout the year and there is a very slim possibility of snow falling in a
handful of remote areas. Our roads are the best in the continent and fuel readily
available. The plant, animal and bird life is unique to Africa. The most famous game
reserve is the Kruger National Park in the northeast, but a host of other private game
reserves and National Parks enables this country to offer an African Safari experience which
can't be matched.
The Cape Peninsula is one of the world's most beautiful places, a stretch of
rocky mountains jutting southward into the sea. Cape Town, referred to as the
"Mother City" is set beneath the grandeur of Table Mountain that can only be
ascended, either by cable-car or by walking. The delightful wine farms offer
excellent wines at cheap prices, as well as delicious home-cooked meals.
The white beaches and hundreds of choice restaurants are world famous. A must for any
visitor to Cape Town is the newly redeveloped Victoria & Alfred Waterfront Amongst its
various attractions are restaurants, bars, specialty shops, cinemas entertainment centers
and museums. A minimum of two nights is suggested but most visitors extend their stay in
this beautiful city.

NAMIBIA
With its unspoiled landscapes
and large variety of game, Namibia is one of the larger countries in Africa and draws an
increasing number of visitors from various parts of the globe.
A sense of freedom is generated by the wide horizons, the clear unpolluted skies and a
population density which is among the lowest in the world.
Namibia is known for its contrasting landscapes. There is the desolate Namib Desert, said
to be the oldest in the world, with its high dunes and awe-inspiring sense of space. The
central plateau, with its thornbush savanna and rugged mountains, rising abruptly from the
plains, gives way to the majestic Fish River Canyon in the South.
In the North of the country, landscapes range from dense bush and open plains of the great
Etosha Pan, to woodland savanna and lush riverine vegetation.
All these facets combine in a country which can justifiably be called "AFRICA'S
GEM".

The
diversity of attractions available make Zimbabwe a holiday paradise.
Victoria Falls are Zimbabwe's foremost attraction. No words can describe
the impact of the world's largest waterfall, 1700 meters wide plunging
100 meters in to the gorge below and sending giant spray clouds high
into the air. Known locally as "the smoke that thunders', Victoria
Falls is one of the most spectacular natural wonders of the world. White
Water Rafting, River Boarding and Canoe Safaris on the Upper Zambezi are
amongst the most popular activities in Victoria Falls.
Hwange is a huge slice of the north western Zimbabwe's territory on the
border with Botswana. Covering a area of about 14,600 sq.km. it boasts
more than 100 different animal species and over 400 species of birds.
With up to 30000 elephants, Hwange is one of the few great elephant
sanctuaries left in Africa. A 480 Km. game viewing roads network, leads
to outstanding animal concentration points and waterholes. |
