| NKHOTAKOTA WILDLIFE RESERVE | |
| LOCATION | Lying in the hills of the Rift
Valley Escarpment, in central Malawi. It covers an area of 1802 square kilometers, but,
the vegetation, mainly Miombo woodland and rain forest, makes game viewing normally
difficult. The scenery is dominated by the Chipata Mountain, and the Bua River, with it's
many waterfalls, is one of many flowing through the reserve in to Lake Malawi. Access to the reserve, during the rainy Season, is only possible with 4X4 vehicles. |
