AFRICAN SAFARI EXPEDITION, BOTSWANA, CAMPING SAFARIS

Serviced camping safari, suitable for reasonably fit people. Involves some hiking and rugged conditions. This safari travels with a maximum of seven guests, in a specially customised 4x4 safari vehicle, and accompanied by an expert Andbeyond safari guide throughout. All meals – from dinner on day one to breakfast on day ten – are included. A reasonable amount of bottled water, local wine, beer and soft drinks are included on camping days. Airport transfers at Victoria Falls are also included. Window seat guaranteed throughout. The upper age limit for this safari is 70 years, however, clients between the age of 70 and 75 years may be accepted provided that they produce a medical certificate stating that they are fit to travel. Minimum age limit is 12 years.

DAYS 1 & 2: MAUN, OKAVANGO DELTA

From Maun we transfer by light aircraft into the heart of the Delta. Here we explore the crystal clear channels, islands and waterways by mokoro (dug-out canoe) and undertake gameviewing walks on the islands. Our two over-nights are spent at a campsite in a private concession area, with a complement of camp staff to cater for you.

DAYS 3 & 4: MOREMI WILDLIFE RESERVE
After our return flight to Maun we negotiate the sandy tracks to Moremi tucked into the northeastern sector of the Okavango. The Reserve was set aside in 1963 by the Batawana tribe, and is rated as Africa's most beautiful wildlife sanctuary. Our days are spent on extensive gameviewing drives. DAYS 5, 6, 7 & 8: CHOBE NATIONAL PARK
We travel up to Savute and spend two nights camped next to the dry Savute Channel. Depending on the time of year huge animal concentrations are attracted to this area, and Savute is excellent for lion and other predator viewing. From Savute we move up to northern Chobe and camp for two nights in the Serondela area. This is the heart of elephant country and here we have an opportunity to spend many hours watching the huge herds in and around the waters of the Chobe River. Northern Chobe has beautiful scenery and magnificent sunsets, with a large variety of bird and animal life.

DAY 9: VICTORIA FALLS
It's a short drive from Chobe National Park to Victoria Falls. Our stay here is always welcomed as a chance to wash off Botswana's dust, relax over a cold beer, and enjoy the varied entertainment and facilities at Victoria Falls. Your entrance fee to the Falls is included in the safari fare. The evening meal is at your own expense. Overnight accommodation is at the Kingdom Hotel in twin bedded rooms with private facilities on a bed and breakfast basis (lunch and dinner today is for your own account.

DAY 10:
After breakfast at the hotel, the safari ends.
